    How do I use Michigan Business One Stop?

    Getting Started in Michigan Business One Stop

    The following is a checklist of steps for using Michigan Business One Stop. Some steps contain links that will bring up more detailed information, if clicked. As you advance through Michigan Business One Stop, the Help button at the top of the screen will provide additional information about each screen.


    Setup your Sign In account (This is a one time task)

    • Go to www.michigan.gov/business
    • If you do not have a One Stop account click on the "Start & Register" button. Detailed instructions can be found here. How to Register for One Stop
    • If you have any questions, please call the Customer Assistance Center at 877-766-1779

    Access Michigan Business One Stop

    • Have your FEIN or EIN number available, if registering for taxes
      • Click for information on obtaining an EIN/FEIN Number
    • Go to www.michigan.gov/business.
    • Enter your Login ID and Password in the "Registered User" area and click the Login button. This will log you in and take you to your personal One Stop Home page.


    Start or Add a Business to your account

    Now that you are into Michigan Business One Stop, you may start a new business or add your existing business to your account.

    • See some of the things you can do in Michigan Business One Stop

    If you are starting a new business

    • Click on the Start a New Business button

    If you are adding an existing business

    • Click on the Add My Existing Business button

    Now that your account is setup you can perform the following:

    Business Delegated Authority is used to identify the individuals that will have authority to access One Stop on behalf of your business..

    • An individual may authorize delegated authority to a user, or an individual may add a business delegated to them

    Attaching Filings allows existing Forms, Licenses and Permits to be linked to your Michigan Business One Stop account.


    Online Payments (Shopping Cart) allows Forms, Licenses and Permits to be paid for through a Shopping Cart.
